Role:

UI/UX Designer

Problem Statment

PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara's recruitment process is still manual, causing inefficient hiring, fragmented data, and a slow recruitment cycle across its nationwide operations.

Goal

Design a centralized job portal to streamline SGN's recruitment process, eliminate manual inefficiencies, and serve all user types.

The Design Process

From researching pain points and defining solutions, to wireframing, building a design system, and delivering a tested UI prototype.

Pain Point & Solution

I identified four core pain points from user research and translated each into a direct design solution to drive a more efficient recruitment experience.

User Flow

I mapped user flows for four roles, Guest, Candidate, Admin, and Super Admin to ensure each user has a clear, role appropriate path through the recruitment system.

Wireframe

I built wireframes to translate user flows into structured layouts, ensuring each role has a clear, intuitive interface before moving into visual design.

Design System

I built a design system standardizing colors and typography to ensure a cohesive, on-brand experience across all user roles.

UI Design

I translated wireframes and the design system into a complete UI for all four user roles, each designed to address identified pain points and streamline the recruitment experience.

Conclusion

SGN was managing recruitment manually across nationwide operations, no centralized system, scattered data, slow hiring cycle. This project built a job portal from scratch that serves four different user roles in one cohesive system, turning a broken manual process into something that actually works at SGN's scale.

What I Learned

Designing from zero is a different challenge. No existing interface to reference means decisions have to start from understanding the process itself, not the screens.

Four roles means four times the responsibility. Every decision had to work across Guest, Candidate, Admin, and Super Admin. Mapping each flow separately before wireframing was what kept it from falling apart.

System thinking before thinking about the visual. The pain was operational, not visual. That taught me to fully understand what a product needs to solve before deciding what it should look like.
